Pittenweem Art Festival, 2026. Selected Emerging Artist

Selected as a shortlisted runner-up for the Henderson Inglis Bursary Award, as part of the Pittenweem Art Festival, 2026.  A special exhibition showcased the selected runners up and was shown at the Old Town Hall (Venue 53). The Art Festival explained that Emerging Artists were, ‘selected for the originality of their ideas, the strength of their artistic vision, and their skilled use of materials and techniques, these emerging artists represent some of the most exciting new voices in contemporary art. Together, their work highlights the diversity, creativity, and talent that made this year’s competition so exceptional, while providing a valuable platform as they continue to develop their artistic careers.’

 

My work was also selected for the promotional material.

Selected for the Exhibition were the following works of art:

  1. Do You See Me Now? Free Standing Sculpture. Approx Size: Height 220cm, Width/Depth 150cm. Hand-Sewn Gazebo Canvas, Etched, Cut and Linked Acrylic, Emulsion Paint, Mannequin.
  2. Shades of Menopause Digital Reproduction and Laser Cut Paint Samples on Foam Board. Size: 105x87cm.
  3. Level Playing Field Etched and Cut Acrylic, Wood and Re-purposed Welded Gazebo Frame. Size: 100x50x85cm.
  4. Still in the Picture Tryptic 3 x Framed Laser Cut and Etched Acrylic Mirrors. Size 23x33cm.
